New Game Review: ViralMelen's Web Smarts

Do you think you know the web? Find out by playing ViralMelen's Web Smarts. Web Smarts is a simple flash game which quizzes you on the world's top websites. You are given a small screenshot of a website. You are then asked to give the website's address. There is no multiple choice. There are no life lines. There are no second chances. You are on your own in this game and are only given 30 seconds to answer each question. Some questions are easy - everyone knows what Google or Yahoo looks like. But when was the last time you saw Evite or WellsFargo? You can sometimes 'cheat' and look at the site's logo - usually located at the top left of the website. However, this isn't the case at all websites. And, unless you have superman vision, you usually can't read the logo text anyway. I have played the game for almost an hour total and my top score has been 38. Considering that I spend hours a day online, this score is probably difficult to achieve for the average online user. If you do beat the score, leave a comment and tell me!

This is a difficult game which aims to shed light on a new viral marketing solution, Viral Melen. The viral marketing company uses flash games to promote websites and products. Similar to what they are doing with Web Smarts, they develop and promote flash games that educate players on a specific website/product. Tracking the activity of this game, it looks like they are doing a great job.

You can find Web Smarts at ViralMelen, Facebook, Free Online Game Finder, and many other locations around the web. Own a flash online arcade? Download Web Smarts to put on your website.
